Comprehensive Veterinary Care

Everything your pet needs, from nose to tail—right here in Overland Park, serving Leawood, Olathe, Lenexa, Shawnee, and all of Johnson County.

Your pet's veterinarian, surgeon, dentist, and groomer—all in one place. College Boulevard Animal Hospital has been taking care of dogs, cats, and exotic pets in Overland Park since 1985, and Dr. Kris Pippin and Dr. Jill Baird keep it that way: one clinic, two experienced vets, and everything your pet needs without the headache of corporate medicine.

We see pets at every stage of life, from eight-week-old puppies and kittens through their senior years. Whether your dog needs a routine wellness exam, your cat is due for a dental cleaning, or your bearded dragon needs a checkup, we handle it here with in-house diagnostics, surgery suites, and a full pharmacy—so you're not driving across town for referrals on things we can do ourselves. That includes digital X-rays, dental radiography, ultrasound, and a full in-house lab that gets you same-day results instead of waiting days for an outside lab to call back.

Not every vet clinic in Johnson County works with exotic species. We do. Rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, rats, bearded dragons, leopard geckos, snakes, turtles, and tortoises all get species-appropriate care from veterinarians who actually have experience treating them. Exotic pets have very different needs from dogs and cats, and getting the husbandry, diet, and environment right is half the battle—we spend time on that, not just the medical side.

We're located at 11733 College Boulevard, just behind the Starbucks at College and Quivira. If you're in Overland Park, Leawood, Olathe, Lenexa, or Shawnee, we're an easy drive. Walk-ins are welcome when our schedule allows, but scheduling an appointment is always the best way to make sure we have enough time set aside for your pet.

The following services don't have their own pages, but they're a core part of what we do every day. Microchipping to ensure your pet makes their way home if they get lost, parasite prevention keeps Kansas City's fleas, ticks, and heartworms from becoming a problem, and nutritional counseling helps us manage everything from weight issues to chronic kidney disease with the right diet. If you have a new puppy or kitten, we'll walk you through the full first-year schedule—vaccines, deworming, spay or neuter timing, and what to actually feed them.

Have a question about a service you don't see listed? Give us a call at (913) 469-5869. If it's something we can help with, we'll get you on the schedule. If it's something that needs a specialist, we'll point you in the right direction—we'd rather send you to the right place than keep you guessing.

Nutrition Counseling

Evidence-based nutritional counseling for weight management, food allergies, senior pet needs, and chronic conditions. We carry prescription therapeutic diets for pets with specific medical needs and can help you navigate the overwhelming number of pet food options on the market.

🐾

Microchipping

A microchip is the most reliable way to permanently identify your pet and reunite you if they're ever lost. The quick, safe procedure takes just seconds, lasts your pet's lifetime, and is the single biggest factor in whether a lost pet makes it home.

🌿

Parasite Prevention

Fleas, ticks, heartworms, and intestinal parasites are common in the Kansas City area. We help you choose the right year-round prevention products, keep up with annual heartworm testing, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks between visits.

🐶

Puppy & Kitten Care

Everything your new pet needs, including age-appropriate vaccine schedules, deworming, spay and neuter guidance, nutritional recommendations, and behavioral advice.
