Dr. Jill Baird, DVM
Veterinarian—College Boulevard Animal Hospital

From Mixed Animal Practice to Overland Park
Dr. Jill Baird graduated from the Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. After earning her degree, she and her husband moved to Arkansas, where she joined a mixed animal hospital and gained broad experience treating everything from dogs and cats to large animals.
That foundation in mixed animal practice gave Dr. Baird a versatile skill set and an adaptable, problem-solving approach to medicine. She brings that same well-rounded perspective to her work at College Boulevard Animal Hospital, where she's known for her thoroughness, her patience with anxious pets, and her ability to explain complex medical issues in a way that makes sense.
Education & Memberships: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, Kansas State University (2011). Member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the Kansas City Veterinary Medical Association (KCVMA). Continuing education in veterinary dentistry.
Clinical Interests & Specialties
Dr. Baird is passionate about building long-term relationships with patients and their families through proactive, compassionate care.
Preventive & Wellness Care
Believes the foundation of a long, healthy life starts with regular wellness exams, vaccinations, and early detection—catching problems before they become serious.
Dental Care
Passionate about oral health and its connection to overall well-being. Provides thorough dental cleanings, extractions, and owner education on at-home dental care.
Feline Medicine
Understands that cats have unique medical needs—and unique personalities. Takes a calm, gentle approach to make veterinary visits less stressful for feline patients.
Internal Medicine
Skilled at working through complex medical cases using in-house diagnostics—digital X-rays, ultrasound, and bloodwork—to get to the bottom of what's going on.
Off the Clock
When she's not at the hospital, Dr. Baird is home in Overland Park with her family and a house full of four-legged companions. Her dogs, Bella and Hazel, keep things lively—but the real character of the household is Outside Oliver, a reformed stray cat who, true to the name change, isn't outside anymore.
Oliver's story is a reminder of something Dr. Baird sees every day at work: with the right care, patience, and a warm place to land, animals thrive. It's the same philosophy she brings to the exam room.
